Relax! Take time to smell the Roses, Flower Painting, Daily Painting, Small Oil Painting, Rose Painting

I know, I know!  We are all so caught up in the holidays, rushing around, parties, wrapping gifts, maybe cooking a feast.  Take a deep breath, and relax awhile.

TAKE TIME TO SMELL THE ROSES!  Here are a few of my past paintings.  Maybe they will help.

Enjoy the Day!

I am still having my moving sale on Etsy.  Look for even LARGER discounts in the coming days

Flower photos for you to use

I stumbled across this old post, and thought I would show it again, as it seems very cheerful, during these trying times.  Enjoy!

Last month we were enjoying our condo in North Carolina, trying to get it ready for visits from family and friends.  It is so beautiful here during at least three of the four seasons.  I have not been here in winter and cannot speak to that, although I imagine the snow covered mountains would be a sight to behold.

On this trip, there are flowers blooming everywhere.  Each morning, I set out for a walk, with my trusty camera in hand.  Come along with me.......

A garden of hosta
Calla Lily
Rose abound!
Begonia
A cute little playhouse, or maybe a gardening shed?
Sit for a moment and enjoy the scenery.
Mountains surround the area,
Who knew day lilies grown wild?
I love purple flowers.  Do you know their name?

My goal is to interpret many of these scenes in oil in the coming months

I like all kinds of flowers, but bromeliads are one of my favorites.  Their varities are endless and they usually thrive with little or no help....just what I need!

SOLD
I want to thank Pat Garvey, photographer, for the use of his image as a reference.  He captured the most wonderful light, which is what attracted me to this subject matter.

There is a lot going on in this painting, and I had to edit myself several times.
